The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared the IBPS PO Prelims Result 2026 on 23 September 2026. Candidates who appeared in the CRP PO/MT-XVI Preliminary Examination held on 22 and 23 August 2026 (6 shifts) can now check their qualifying status on the official website, ibps.in, by logging in with their registration number or roll number and password or date of birth. The scorecard with section-wise marks and the category-wise cut-off is available for download till 30/09/2026. Candidates who have qualified the prelims will now appear in the Mains Examination on 4 October 2026, for which the admit card was released on 24 September 2026.

The 7,565 vacancies are spread across 11 public sector banks.

Eligibility

• A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
• The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate on the day of registration and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
• Working knowledge of computer systems is desirable.

Selection Process

• Preliminary Examination — 100 objective-type MCQs (1 mark each), conducted as an online test; qualifying in nature, marks not counted for final merit. Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
• Mains Examination — objective + descriptive tests; 0.25 negative marking applies to the objective tests.
• Interview
• Final merit is prepared on the combined scores of the Mains Examination and Interview.

1. Visit the official IBPS website at www.ibps.in.
2. On the homepage, open the CRP PO/MT section and select CRP PO/MT-XVI.
3. Click on the “Result Status of Online Preliminary Examination for CRP-PO/MT-XVI” link.
4. Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Password / Date of Birth, fill in the captcha code and click Login.
5. Your qualifying status will be displayed on the screen.
6. Download and save the result / scorecard, and take a printout for future reference.
