Eligibility
- Primary (Class 1–5): 12th with 50% + 2-year D.El.Ed, OR Graduation + D.El.Ed, OR B.El.Ed with 50% marks; CTET Paper-I or BTET Paper-I qualified.
- Middle (Class 6–8): Graduation in relevant subject + B.Ed (50% marks), OR 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed, OR B.El.Ed with 50% marks; CTET Paper-II or BTET Paper-II qualified.
- Secondary (Class 9–10): Graduation/Post-Graduation in relevant subject with 50% marks + B.Ed from NCTE-recognised institution; STET Paper-I qualified.
- Senior Secondary (Class 11–12): Post-Graduation in specified subject with 50% marks + B.Ed; OR PG + 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed; STET Paper-II qualified.
- STET 2026 appearing candidates can apply with a Self-Declaration form, but must clear STET 2026 before the written exam date.
- All certificates/documents must have been issued on or before 26 October 2026.
- Reservation benefits (caste/domicile) apply only to Bihar-domicile candidates; candidates from all Indian states may apply.

Selection Process
Selection is through a Written Examination (Objective MCQ, 150 questions / 150 marks) with 1/3rd negative marking, followed by Document Verification. There is no interview. The language paper is qualifying in nature; merit is based on the objective test.
