Short Information: National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the E-Certificate for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination on 25/09/2026. Selection Process – NTA CSIR UGC NET June 2026

The selection for NTA CSIR UGC NET June 2026 is made through a single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

• Exam Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) – single stage; NTA conducts no separate interview.
• Question Type: Objective MCQ – all questions carry 4 options with 1 correct answer.
• Total Marks: 200 marks.
• Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours).
• Paper Pattern: The paper is divided into 3 parts – Part A: General Aptitude (common to all subjects); Part B: subject-specific MCQs; Part C: higher-order / application-based MCQs.
• Negative Marking: 25% of the question marks are deducted for each wrong answer (one-fourth; slight variation by subject/part as per the official scheme).
• Medium: English & Hindi (bilingual).
• After Qualifying: Qualified candidates become eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, or Ph.D. admission.
