Eligibility
- Design Engineer (Mechanical): full-time 4-year B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering with minimum 55% marks + a certified CAD/CAE course (or A+ grade in a degree-level CAD/CAE paper) + minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.
- Design Engineer (Electrical/Electronics): full-time 4-year B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 55% marks + a certified MATLAB/Simulink or Electrical CAD-EDA / circuit-design / electrical-simulation course (or A+ in that subject) + minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.
- Degrees must be regular full-time from AICTE/UGC-approved institutes or recognised universities.
- Experience earned before the qualifying degree — and teaching, research, internship, articleship, freelance or entrepreneurial work — does not count.
- M.E./M.Tech in the related stream is desirable (adds marks at the shortlisting stage) but not mandatory.
- Indian citizens only.
Selection Process
- Eligibility screening — degree, software certificate, experience, age and documents.
- Shortlisting in 1:5 ratio — B.E./B.Tech percentage × 0.5 (max 50) + relevant post-qualification experience (max 40; 2 years = 20, +2.5 for every additional completed 6 months) + desirable M.E./M.Tech (10).
- Personal Interview (50 marks) + Practical Assessment on CAD/CAE tools (50 marks) — minimum 25 marks in each paper; failing either paper removes the candidate from the final list.
- Final merit on Interview + Practical marks only (tie-break: higher relevant experience, then higher qualifying-degree marks).
There is no written examination in this recruitment, so negative marking does not apply — selection is through interview and practical assessment only.
