Short Information: Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA), Mumbai has invited online applications for direct recruitment to 25 Class I and Class II posts under Advt No. DR-20 dated 28 September 2026. The openings cover Assistant Executive Engineer and Executive Engineer (Civil), Executive Engineer (Telecom/Electronics), Deputy Materials Manager, Accounts Officer Grade I, Assistant Traffic Manager Grade I, Assistant Estate Manager Grade I, and one Assistant Security Officer post. Selection starts with an online objective examination in English, followed by document verification and interview for Class I posts, and a physical requirement test with a Marathi/Hindi/English proficiency test for the Class II post. Pay scale: ₹50,000–1,60,000 for Class I posts (approx. ₹94,500/month + HRA); ₹40,000–1,40,000 for Assistant Security Officer (approx. ₹75,600/month + HRA).

Eligibility

• Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil): degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering; desirable — 2 years executive experience in planning/construction/design/maintenance, preferably port and marine structures
• Executive Engineer (Civil): degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering + 5 years executive experience in planning/construction/design/maintenance, preferably port and marine structures
• Dy. Materials Manager: degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering + 5 years executive experience in materials management / mechanical / electrical field; desirable — PG degree/diploma in Materials Management
• Executive Engineer (Telecom/Electronics): degree in Electronics/Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering + 5 years executive experience in networking/software development/telecom; desirable — PG degree/diploma in the same field
• Accounts Officer Gr. I: member of ICAI or ICWAI (ICMAI); desirable — 2 years executive experience in finance/accounting
• Assistant Traffic Manager Gr. I: degree from a recognized university; desirable — 2 years executive experience in shipping/cargo operations/railway transportation
• Assistant Estate Manager Gr. I: degree with PG degree/diploma in Architecture/Town and Country Planning, OR degree in Civil Engineering, OR corporate membership of the Institution of Surveyors (India); desirable — degree in Law + 2 years executive experience in estate management/valuation/land records
• Assistant Security Officer: degree + ability to speak, read and write Marathi, Hindi and English; desirable — NCC ‘B’/’C’ certificate or service experience with police/SSC officer/CISF/RPF/BSF; physical — height 165 cm, chest 81 cm (expiration) / 86 cm (inspiration) with 5 cm expansion, weight 50 kg
• Qualifications must be from UGC/AICTE-recognized universities/institutes, with final result published on or before 01/09/2026.

Selection Process

1. Online objective examination — English only, 120 minutes, negative marking of 1/4 marks per wrong answer
2. Class I posts: document verification of shortlisted candidates, then interview (30 marks) — final selection on online exam + interview performance
3. Class II post (Assistant Security Officer): document verification, Physical Requirement Test, and a proficiency test in Marathi, Hindi and English (minimum 35% in each language) — no interview; final selection on the online exam subject to qualifying these tests

Question type: objective (MCQ). Negative marking: 1/4 of marks per wrong answer — stated in the official notification, not assumed.
