Marking Scheme

Each question carries 3 marks. The paper is objective type with multiple choice questions. For every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted from the total score. Questions left unattempted do not attract any deduction. The paper is set at the 10th standard level and is available in both English and Hindi. The total duration of the examination is 2 hours.

Syllabus

The written examination follows the standard 10th-level pattern. Candidates should prepare the following broad areas and confirm the detailed topic list from the official advertisement.

General Intelligence – Basic reasoning and mental ability areas such as analogies, series completion, coding and decoding, blood relations, direction sense, ranking and order, statement based questions and non-verbal reasoning figures at the 10th level.

Quantitative Aptitude – Fundamental arithmetic topics such as number system, percentages, ratio and proportion, average, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time and work, time speed and distance, mensuration and elementary data interpretation.

General Awareness – General science of everyday observation, Indian history and freedom movement basics, geography, Indian polity and constitution basics, economy basics, important days and events, sports, books and authors, awards and current happenings.

English – Grammar fundamentals such as parts of speech, tenses, articles and prepositions, sentence correction and improvement, error spotting, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech, one word substitution, idioms and phrases, synonyms and antonyms and reading comprehension.
