Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised University or Institute.
  • Working knowledge of computers is required.
  • Only Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates can apply.
  • Candidates who have already undergone training in any office of the Spices Board, whether completed or not, are not eligible.

Selection Process

  • Selection is made through a walk-in written test and a computer proficiency test held at the designated centres.
  • Candidates are selected on merit from the test.
  • The notification does not mention any negative marking scheme for the written test.
  • Training is for two years from the date of joining, with a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month. TA is paid for travel to spice fields, and leave of one day per month is allowed.
