The written test has 100 objective (MCQ) questions in Hindi and English for 100 marks in 2 hours, based on the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree syllabus, with negative marking (+1 for correct, −0.25 for wrong). The score is scaled to 75 by multiplying the percentage by 0.75, and work-experience marks (for qualified candidates only) are added for the final merit out of 100. Minimum qualifying marks: UR 40%, BC 36.5%, EBC 34%, SC/ST/Women/PwBD 32%. Candidates securing less than the minimum have no claim.
