GPSC Gujarat Port & Marine Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 26 Class-1 & Class-2 Posts (Last Date 8 October)

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has invited online applications for 26 Class-1 and Class-2 posts under the Gujarat Port & Marine stream through 15 separate advertisements (Advt. No. 42/2026-27 to 56/2026-27). The combined newspaper notice was published on 23 September 2026. Most of these posts are linked to the Gujarat Maritime Board – marine, port, pilot, nautical, naval architecture and related streams – along with a few other Class-1/Class-2 posts. Online applications open on the GPSC OJAS portal on 24 September 2026 at 1:00 PM and close on 8 October 2026 at 11:59 PM. Each advertisement number is a separate recruitment, so candidates must apply separately for every post they are eligible for. Ten of the 26 seats are Special Recruitment Drive posts reserved for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

• Marine Engineer / Junior Grade Marine Engineer: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical or Marine) with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Engineer Surveyor: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical or Marine) with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Port Officer / Nautical Officer / Additional Port Officer: port, nautical or FGM profile with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Assistant Port Officer: port profile with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Traffic Officer: communication/traffic profile with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Safety Officer: safety profile with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Pilot Officer (FGM): pilot / FGM profile with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Naval Architect: naval architecture qualification with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Manager Grade-1: hotel management diploma or degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Assistant Director (FS): prescribed bachelor’s/PG degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Junior Architect: architecture diploma or B.E. with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Joint Director of Horticulture: relevant PG with 8 years, or PhD with 5 years of experience.

Selection Process

Selection is post-wise: a Preliminary Test (General Studies, tentative date 13 December 2026) followed by a concerned-subject examination and/or interview, as prescribed in the detailed advertisement of each post.

3. Complete One Time Registration if you do not already have an OJAS profile.
4. Select the exact advertisement number you are applying for – one OJAS form does not cover multiple advertisements.
5. Fill personal, educational and experience details exactly as on your certificates.
6. Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
7. Pay the fee if your category is required to pay, and save the payment reference.
8. Confirm the form, note the confirmation number, and take a printout of the confirmed application.
