Short Information: The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released the schedule of the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) for the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) post under the HCS (Executive Branch) & Other Allied Services Examination 2025 (Advt 22/2026). The PMT will be held on 01 October 2026 (Thursday) at 9:00 AM at the HPSC office, Panchkula. This follows the Main Examination result declared on 17 September 2026. A total of 183 roll numbers have been provisionally called for the PMT, and no other date will be given under any circumstances.
HPSC has announced that only those candidates who had opted for the DSP post and satisfy the age eligibility of Advt 22/2026 will undergo the PMT. The Commission will send no separate intimation to any candidate, and candidates are required to report at the venue on the scheduled date and time with all original documents. Candidates absent from the PMT or found ineligible as per the advertisement will not be considered for appointment to the DSP post.

Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (for all posts).
- DSP Physical Standards (as per Haryana Police Service Rules, 2002 and Advt 22/2026):
- Male: minimum height 5’7″ (170.18 cm); chest 33″ (83.82 cm), expanding to 34.5″ (87.63 cm)
- Female: minimum height 5’2″ (157.50 cm); no chest measurement applicable
- Only candidates who had opted for the DSP post and meet the Advt 22/2026 age eligibility have been provisionally called for the PMT; eligibility will be strictly checked at the PMT.
Selection Process
- Preliminary Exam: Objective (MCQ) type — General Studies Paper I (100 marks) + CSAT Paper II (100 marks), 2 hours each. Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted per wrong answer (as per the official notification).
- Main Written Exam: Descriptive type — 6 papers (English, Hindi, GS I–IV), 100 marks each (total 600), 3 hours each.
- Personality Test / Viva-Voce: interview of shortlisted candidates (03/10/2026 – 08/10/2026).
- PMT (Physical Measurement Test): DSP-post candidates only — 01/10/2026.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination.
Note: candidates absent from the PMT or found ineligible as per the advertisement will not be considered for appointment to the DSP post. Appearing in the PMT does not by itself confer any right to further selection.
