- Assistant Manager (Mechanical-I) – Candidates must hold a full-time Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Diploma holders need a minimum of 08 years of post-qualification experience, while degree holders need a minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience in QA / QC / Testing (destructive / non-destructive), preferably in steel plants and rolling, forging or casting industries.
- Assistant Manager (Mechanical-II) – Same qualification and experience as Mechanical-I, plus ASNT / ISNT Level-II certification in UT, as given in the official notification.
- Assistant Manager (Mechanical-III) – Same qualification and experience as Mechanical-I, plus ASNT / ISNT Level-II certification in MPT, as given in the official notification.
- UR / EWS candidates applying against unreserved posts need first class or at least 60% marks in the minimum qualification, while reserved-category candidates need at least 50% marks in the minimum qualification for reserved posts.
- Training, internship, teaching, academic and PhD research periods are not counted as experience.
