Eligibility – UKSSSC Scaler 2026
- Educational Qualification: Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Science or Mathematics from a Board/Council established by law in India, or from a recognized school situated in Uttarakhand.
- Domicile / Registration: Registered with an Employment Exchange in Uttarakhand as on the last date, OR holder of a Uttarakhand domicile/permanent residence certificate, OR passed High School and Intermediate from institutions situated in Uttarakhand.
- Physical Standards: Male — minimum height 163 cm (152 cm for ST and specified hill communities), chest with 5 cm minimum expansion; Female — minimum height 150 cm (145 cm for ST and specified communities); eyesight refractive error not exceeding ±4.00 diopters.
- Preferential: 2 years’ service in the Territorial Army, or NCC ‘B’/’C’ certificate (other things being equal).
Selection Process
- Stage 1 – PST / PET (Qualifying): Race — 25 km (male) / 14 km (female) within 4 hours; Shot Put (7.275 kg) — 5.00 m (male) / 3.50 m (female); Long Jump — 4.00 m (male) / 2.00 m (female); High Jump — 1.10 m (male) / 0.70 m (female). Only race-qualified candidates attempt other events; up to 3 attempts per event.
- Stage 2 – Written Examination: 100 marks, offline OMR mode, 2 hours; minimum qualifying marks 45% (UR/EWS/OBC) and 35% (SC/ST).
- Stage 3 – Document Verification.
- Question type: Objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with 4 options, offline OMR mode.
- Negative marking: 1/4th (0.25) mark deducted for every wrong answer; marking more than one option is treated as wrong; no penalty for unattempted questions.
