Short Information: Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for direct recruitment of 2607 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT / Pravakta) in government-aided secondary schools — 2329 posts for boys’ schools (Balak) and 278 posts for girls’ schools (Balika). Online applications through One Time Registration (OTR) will be accepted from 18 September 2026 to 17 October 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in the concerned subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed or equivalent teacher-training qualification as prescribed in the official notification.
- Candidates must fulfil all other eligibility conditions given in UPESSC Advt No. 06/2026.
Selection Process
- Written Examination – 360 marks (15–16 December 2026)
- Question Type – 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions (30 General Studies + 90 concerned subject), OMR-based, 4 options per question, 2-hour duration
- Negative Marking – +3 marks for every correct answer; −1 mark deducted for every wrong or multiple-marked answer
- Interview – 40 marks
