Short Information: Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Main Examination under Advt. No. 24-Exam/2026. A total of 1156 posts will be filled across Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Mechanic, Assistant Storekeeper and other technical posts. Eligibility
A valid UPSSSC PET 2025 score card is mandatory for all posts. Post-wise educational qualifications are as follows. Technical Assistant (Mechanical), Junior Engineer (Mechanical) and Mechanic posts require a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or Automobile / Mechanical Maintenance trade) from the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education or a Government-recognized institution. Assistant Storekeeper requires a Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized polytechnic. The Assistant District Panchayat Raj Officer (Technical) post requires a degree in Science from a recognized university. Preference is given to candidates with two years of Territorial Army service or an NCC ‘B’ certificate for specified posts. Selection Process
Shortlisting on the basis of UPSSSC PET 2025 score, followed by the Mains written examination, document verification and final merit list. The Mains examination will be an objective (MCQ) type paper of 100 questions carrying 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes). There will be negative marking of 1/4 mark (0.25) for every wrong answer. The detailed syllabus is given in the official notification.
