No. 17-Exam/2026 for 1251 posts. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of UPSSSC PET 2025 scores will appear in a single objective-type Main paper of 100 marks. Part 1 – Subject Knowledge (65 Marks)

Questions are asked from veterinary science and animal husbandry subjects covered in the Pashudhan Prasar Diploma course:

• Introduction to Animal Husbandry – importance of animal husbandry, livestock development programmes, basic concepts
• Animal Anatomy and Physiology – digestive, respiratory, circulatory and reproductive systems
• Animal Nutrition – classification of nutrients, balanced diet, fodder production
• Animal Breeding and Artificial Insemination – breeding concepts, insemination techniques, breed improvement
• Dairy Management – selection of dairy animals, housing, milk production, milk hygiene
• Poultry Farming – breeds, housing and disease control
• Animal Health and Disease Management – common animal diseases, vaccination, first aid
• Livestock Extension Education – extension principles, communication methods, rural development programmes
• Rearing of Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat and Pig – breed varieties, housing, production, disease control
• Dairy and Animal Product Technology – milk processing, dairy products, quality control
• Livestock Economics and Entrepreneurship – project formulation, cost–benefit analysis, self-employment schemes
• Field Training and Practical Work – veterinary hospital training, insemination training, rural extension, field surveys
• Practical Section – animal identification, vaccination and medicines, milk testing, fodder production, record keeping

Part 2 – Computer & IT / Contemporary Technological Development (15 Marks)

• Introduction to computers and information technology, hardware and software, computer networks
• IP address, e-mail, office automation (MS Word / Excel), operating systems
• Social networking, e-governance, digital financial tools, cyber security
• Emerging technologies – Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT)
