Short Information: The High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur has released Advertisement No. 666/Exam/2026 for the direct recruitment of 418 posts — Stenographer Grade-II, Stenographer Grade-III, Stenographer Grade-III (Court Manager Staff) and Assistant Grade-III (English Knowing) — in the District and Sessions Courts of Madhya Pradesh. Online applications are open from 06/10/2026 (12 noon) to 27/10/2026 (5 PM). Selection will be through an Online Preliminary Examination (100 marks, screening only) followed by a Hindi / English Stenography Skill Test (100 marks).

Eligibility
- Stenographer Grade-II: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university; valid CPCT score card issued by MAP-IT or any MP Government-recognized agency; Hindi shorthand examination passed at 100 words per minute from an MP Government-recognized board or institution; one-year Diploma in Computer Application from an MP Government-recognized institution.
- Stenographer Grade-III and Stenographer Grade-III (Court Manager Staff): Same qualifications as above, with Hindi shorthand at 80 words per minute.
- Assistant Grade-III (English Knowing): Same qualifications as above, with English shorthand at 80 words per minute.
- All qualifications must be complete on or before 27/10/2026. Candidates must select their preferred post or posts in the online form; this choice cannot be changed later, and selection will be made only for the chosen post.
Selection Process
- Stage 1 — Online Preliminary Examination: 100 objective-type (MCQ) questions for 100 marks, duration 120 minutes, common for all posts. This is only a screening test — its marks are not counted in the final merit. Candidates about five times the number of posts qualify for the next stage.
- Stage 2 — Stenography Skill Test (100 marks): Dictation of about 400 words in 5 minutes followed by 30 minutes transcription on a computer. Hindi stenography for Stenographer posts and English stenography for Assistant Grade-III (English Knowing). Minimum qualifying marks — UR / OBC 55%, SC 45%, ST / PwD 40%, EWS 49.5%.
- Document Verification of shortlisted candidates.
- Negative Marking: The advertisement does not prescribe any negative marking in the Online Preliminary Examination. Question Type: Objective multiple-choice questions in an online computer-based test.

- Click on “Recruitment / Result” and then on “Online Application Forms / Admit Cards”.
- Open the Advertisement link and read all instructions of Advertisement No. 666/Exam/2026 carefully.
- Complete the Registration — the User ID and Password are sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
- Fill the application form completely and upload the photograph and signature.
- Preview the form, submit it and pay the prescribed fee through debit card or internet banking.
- After successful payment, take a printout of the submitted application and keep it safe.
Correction in the application form is allowed from 30/10/2026 (12 noon) to 01/11/2026 (5 PM) for application-form entries only; registration entries cannot be corrected.
