Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), an IndianOil (IOCL) group public sector undertaking, has released the official notification for the engagement of Trade Apprentices, Technician Apprentices and Graduate Apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961, vide Notification No. HRD:03:26 dated 22.09.2026. Online applications are invited from eligible 10th pass, ITI, 12th, Diploma, Graduate, BE/B.Tech and MBA(HR) candidates through the NAPS and NATS portals. The last date to apply online is 12.10.2026. Stipend: ₹4,800 – ₹12,300 per month depending on the trade/discipline, as per Apprentices Act norms.
Eligibility
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): 10th pass + ITI in the relevant trade;
- Lab Assistant (Chemical Plant) / Guest House Service Assistant / Secretarial Office Assistant / DEO: 10th/12th pass as per the respective trade;
- Technician Apprentice: Diploma in the relevant discipline;
- Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): BE / B.Tech in the relevant discipline;
- Graduate Apprentice (Non-Engineering): Graduate in the relevant discipline;
- Executive (HR): MBA (HR);
- Candidates must have secured 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) in the qualifying examination;
- Only candidates who passed during 2022 to 2026 are eligible;
- A 100% complete profile on NAPS / NATS is mandatory before applying;
- Candidates whose results are awaited, and candidates who have already undergone 1 year or more of apprenticeship training, are not eligible.
Age Limit (as on 01.10.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 26 years
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Presidential Directives / Government norms.
Selection Process
Selection will be done through a merit list based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination only. There will be no written test and no interview for this recruitment.
