Southern Railway has invited online applications for 4,471 Act Apprentice posts (Fresher & Ex-ITI) under the Apprentices Act, 1961 vide Notification No. 01/2026. Candidates who have passed 10th class or hold an ITI certificate can apply online from 28 August to 27 September 2026 (5:00 PM). Selection will be made on merit, without any written exam.

Eligibility & Age Limit
- Fresher: 10th pass with minimum 50% marks (for MLT trade, 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Biology).
- Ex-ITI: 10th pass with 50% marks + NCVT/SCVT ITI certificate in the relevant trade.
- Age: Fresher 15–22 years; Ex-ITI / MLT 15–24 years. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per rules.
- Only candidates falling within the geographical jurisdiction of Southern Railway are eligible.
- Stipend: ₹8,200/month (10th fresher) / ₹9,600/month (12th fresher / Ex-ITI) during training.

- Open the Act Apprentice Notification No. 01/2026 link.
- Register and fill the online application with trade preference.
- Upload photo, signature and certificates; pay the fee if applicable.
- Submit the form before 27 September 2026 (5:00 PM).
