Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released Advt No. 15/2026 for the School Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) 4.0 in the Education Department, Government of Bihar. Through this recruitment drive, the commission will appoint 32,388 School Teachers in government schools across the state, covering Primary, Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 25 September 2026. The earlier advertisement (Advt 14/2026 dated 18 August 2026) has been cancelled and replaced by this fresh notification.

Eligibility
- Primary (Classes 1–5): 12th with 50% marks + D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed + CTET / BTET Paper-I
- Middle (Classes 6–8): Graduation + teacher training + CTET / BTET Paper-II
- Secondary (Classes 9–10): Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 50% marks + B.Ed + STET Paper-I
- Higher Secondary (Classes 11–12): Master’s degree with 50% marks + B.Ed + STET Paper-II
- Candidates appearing in STET 2026 may also apply with a self-declaration.
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years (Classes 1–8) / 21 years (Classes 9–12)
- Maximum Age: 37 years (UR Male), 40 years (UR Female, BC / EBC), 42 years (SC / ST)
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through a Written Examination (objective type) followed by Document Verification. There is no interview.
