Eligibility – BHU Non Teaching Recruitment 2026
- System Engineer (CC001): M.Tech / M.E. / M.S. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics and Communication with at least 55% marks and minimum 5 years relevant work experience, OR B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics and Communication with at least 55% marks and minimum 10 years relevant work experience, OR MCA or M.Sc Computer Science (with B.Sc Computer Science) with at least 55% marks and minimum 7 years relevant work experience, OR M.Sc in Computer Science / Information Technology with B.Sc in any Science subject with at least 55% marks and minimum 8 years relevant work experience. Experience should be in Industry / University level Computer Centre in server configuration, storage systems, backup systems, Linux / Unix, Software Engineering / Design and Validation, Databases and Computer Network.
- Maintenance Engineer (Junior) (CC002): B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point from a recognized Institution / University, plus 5 years experience at appropriate level in PSUs / private organization / University level in Computer Network administration and Computer hardware including Massive UPS systems and Centralized Air-conditioning Plants / Computer Systems Management and administration / Maintenance of a campus wide large computer network preferably with fibre optic backbone links.
- Computer Operator Grade-I (CC003): B.Sc in Computer Science with at least 55% marks, OR BCA with at least 55% marks, OR B.Sc with at least 55% marks with PGDCA from a recognized Institution / University.
- AC Operator (CC004): ITI (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) from NCVT / SCVT accredited ITIs, plus 2 years experience in operation and maintenance of Air-conditioning plants, including VRV system of capacity over 500 TR in University / Research establishment / Central / State Govt. / PSU / other autonomous bodies.
- Laboratory Attendant (CC005): Intermediate with Science, plus Certificate Course in computer hardware of minimum six months duration from a recognized institution.
- Workshop Attendant (CC006): High School from a recognized examining body, ITI in Electrician / Plumber / Fitter / Welder / Wireman Trade from NCVT / SCVT accredited ITIs, plus one year experience in the concerned trade.
- Candidates should read the official notification for the full essential and desirable qualifications before applying.
Selection Process
- Selection will be through a Written Test followed by a Skill Test, and then document verification.
- The syllabus for the Written Test and Skill Test will be notified later by BHU.
- Negative marking: The official notification does not specify any negative marking scheme. Details will follow with the exam scheme notified by BHU.
- Shortlisted candidates will go through document verification before final selection.
