Selection Weightage – Complete Breakup
There is no written exam and no negative marking in this recruitment. Selection is made on the basis of the following weightage, as given in the official notice:
| Stage | Weightage |
|---|---|
| Secondary (10th) Level marks | 20% |
| Senior Secondary (12th) Level marks | 20% |
| Graduation marks | 20% |
| Post Graduation marks | 20% |
| Interview performance marks | As per notice |
Shortlisted candidates then undergo Document Verification and Medical Examination before final engagement.
How the Academic Weightage Works
- Your percentage of marks at each level (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post Graduation) is converted to 20% weightage per level – so all four academic levels together contribute equally to your merit.
- Because PG carries the same 20% as any other level, strong marks in your qualifying PG Degree/Diploma (Social Work / Labour Welfare / Industrial Relations / Personnel Management or allied subject) are just as valuable as school-level marks.
- The interview is the decisive stage where the panel assesses your knowledge of labour welfare concepts, industrial relations, social work practices and communication skills.
Interview Preparation – Documents & Tips
- Keep ready: attested copies of 10th, 12th, Graduation and PG marksheets/degrees, age proof, category certificate (SC/OBC, if applicable), experience certificates (if any), and the application form.
- Revise core concepts of your PG subject – Social Work, Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management – since the desirable field is Labour Welfare.
- Stay updated on MCD’s Labour Welfare Department functions and recent Delhi labour-related developments.
- Carry originals along with attested copies for Document Verification on the day of the interview.
